Great meal for a low price. Very tasty chopped beef BBQ sandwich and amazing beans.

We both ordered a plate, which was a great serving size. I think the beans were from a can but they were good. I would say the Mac and cheese and the brisket were the winners. The brisket was very lean with the right amount of smoke. The Mac and cheese wasn't dry but flavored well. Great family owned barbeque!

Sad, this place used to be the best BBQ in town. Sad to see such a treasure of port neches become a sad excuse of a “BBQ joint”.I have been an avid customer for as long as I can remember. Even before I could get there on my own, my parents and grand parents got it at least once a week. I went in there yesterday and it was terrible... terrible. Just a mad house, food quality? Down the drain. Miss how this was. Quaint, easy, got three ribs instead of two... I mean honestly what happened to this place?

Stopped in for some Texas bbq and was very disappointed. Mac and cheese had no cheese. Rice dressing was plain white rice. And the beans taste as if it was fresh out of a can.Sausage taste like something from a dollar store fridge. And the bbq sauce was vinegar and ketchup lol.Dont eat here. Staff was rude as well

Decent food. I know, its a bbq restruant but man try the gumbo. The employees are great. They remind me of Flo (eat my grits) with the hilarious friendly sarcasm all in the name of fun. Feels like being served by that favorite aunt.

Been coming here for years. I used to hassle Mr.Billy Joe for freebies when I stopped by on my bike. The BBQ has that Same flavor I know and love. I was a little disappointed in the portion size my last visit. My little granddaughter did enjoy!

Best barbecue in the state of Texas

Not bad by any means. Their sauce just wasn't quite up my alley. The specials were pretty small portions, so if you have an appetite, I'd go bigger.Now if I could review just the little old spitfire running the joint, it would be all five stars. She was brusque, rude, mean, ornery, and awesome. You could tell that was her disposition and sense of humor. She even gave me some free jalapenos for taking her beating. She really made this place a memory for me. Unfortunately, the BBQ sauce wasn't quite attuned to my pallet, so I won't be making any more memories here.The meat was great, though. The sides were the usual fare. Some of the desserts were pretty tempting, but I didn't indulge this day.

Havent been there in a while but I can tell you that every time I get food there, service is top noych and food is excellent. Bbq places usually are a bit expensive but the price points here are cheaper than most.

This place is all about people. They are friendly and inviting. I enjoy being around them. The food is good, not necessarily the traditional BBQ joint though in terms of menu, but if your not a big BBQ fan like myself then this is a good thing.

Neat place with good food. I went there during the lunch rush so it took a little while to get my food. I will definitely go here again when the chance arises.

This place is fantastic. It doesn't matter what you get--it'll be amazing. Very reasonable prices and homemade desserts make this place a must. They're quick, too.

Recently we made a large order (100lbs of chicken) to cater for a party. They made it very easy for us. The food was great and they were very helpful.

Good food and service. It was very quiet for dinner. It was nice, but a little too quiet (not a great atmosphere for talking with someone). The ribs were delicious. The Mac n cheese was a little disappointing (not enough cheese). The chipped beef was phenomenal. It is a nice quiet hole in the wall place that has great delivery and catering services. Not too pricey either for what you get.

The last two times i went my order was wrong. I love shopping local family owned buisness's that's why I keep choosing to go back, but tonight was the last for Billy Joe's. The high schooler in the back actually threw my plate on the counter after she had to remake it due to it being wrong like the last 2 times. DONE.....
